There is a guide to teach most of the players online both young and old how to profit from trading within Eve online so that you too can get in on this lucrative profession.
It is for sure that trading is the most profitable path to go down within Eve online. But it is mostly the hardest. The simplest method to make money from trading is as follows: buy low and sell Eve Isk high. More often than not, this is easily done when you trade NPC goods like Frozen Food, Antibiotics, Water and the like. But you'll make very little money from it because of the sheer simplicity of this. It's likely that things get interesting when you start trading the player-made items.
Within Eve Isk, the markets are run using buy orders and sell orders. It is to say that you want to buy a shuttle but you only have 15k isk. You would place a buy order for that shuttle stating the price you are willing to pay. Then people can come along and fulfill that buy order by selling straight to it.
But there is the person says that when he is selling the shuttle, he thinks: "hold on, this item is worth more than this", and then he can create a sell order for say 17k isk. Now the buyer has a decision to make, does he fulfill the new sell order for 17k and get his new shuttle instantly or does he create a buy order and get the shuttle for cheaper, but having to wait for the order to be filled.
As such these tactics can be used to make the real money with trading for the most part. Unlike the majority of skills within Eve Isk, trading has numerous skills that can be learnt to help, and they have Charisma as the main attribute, which means that for a person whose skills usually revolve around combat, it will take them quite a while to learn the trading skills.
For your information, there are quite a few different types of trading such as station trading, region trading and so on.
When it comes to station trading, it means that you never leave the station, you use both buy and sell orders to make a profit. Not to mention region trading, it means that you can buy an item in one region and move it to another one to sell.
However, there is no best way to trade, both have advantages and disadvantages and the best way to find out which type you prefer is to have a go.
Trading is the hardest skill to master. The Skill sets required for trading are many and diverse. While not as involved as a combat or mining profession, the time investment is substantial none the less. You begin with very limited access to the higher tiered skills but they can be gained with just a bit of effort.
All in all, patience is one thing that a serious trader needs. It is up to you to do your research on the best items to make a profit with this could take lots of time before you begin with the game. In the same way, you will take your time to buy orders unless you are in a trade hub such as Jita. In a word, trading without a doubt can make you many billions of isk but relies more on your knowledge and abilities out of game than it does in-game!
